    Sewer odor inside house
I have noticed an sewer odor inside my house lately after the heavy rain storm. I have looked for any leaks where the sink is, but have not found any. Could the odor be coming from the sewage? How can I tell? If so, then what can I do to get rid of it? Any help would be a appreciated. Thanks.

    Digi,
You didn't mention if you have a septic system or have city hookup. Since you mentioned the heavy rain, I would have to query you about your septic system, does the leach field get flooded and stand in wet conditions for long periods?? The leach field works based on evaporation? You also mentioned your sink, does it have the trap under it?? The trap keeps the sewer gases from coming back into the house. Does it happen frequently? Every time it rains?? Is the septic system old? The gases should be venting through its' correct piping. A little more info would help in getting the right response --- Ace
