What software are you referring to? Or installed?

Have you tried to right click on the icon and choose compatibility and then chose XP SP2?

p0p3y3, yep that looks correct as the application is still running in the background.
You need to check the programs own options to see if it allows minisation to the system tray, some do not.

This program didn`t have that kind of options actually. So I can`t do it by myself, that`s why I ask for help.
I used one software(trayit_4_6_5_5) that do the trick, but it is not working good, maybe cause it`s not compatible with Windows7 .

I set AS Rock OC Tuner 2.2.41 to start up with Windows and I need it to be minimised in system tray so my child won't acces it and change the settings I have with it or,worst,to close it.

Here is about the soft : ASRock - OCTuner

What you can trey is to right click on the app icon and then choose properties and then go to the compatibility tab and choose Windows XP SP2 item and then click App;y and then try to run the app again

Problem with using compatibility mode in Win7 is that it changes everything to "classic" mode losing all of the win7 Aero..

How about finding an open source app that does that and getting the source code?
