    Best way is first, use residual insecticide with crack & crevice nozzle to spray each hole. You can do this during the day. While they can sting, they are generally not very aggressive, but are also usually not there in daylight. They use a residual to spray the areas where they are nesting. (They usually return to the same sites each year.) You'll probably have to do this once every month or so in spring/summer.
