Have you checked to see it is getting power, and has continuity? Does the forced draft blower come on?

Draft inducer must start, then the pressure switch closes, then the hot surface igniter starts to glow, then gas valve opens. Which of these things don't occure?

I bought my house 6 1/2 years ago and have replaced my surface ignitor 4 times so far.
It is made of carbon and gets brittle and falls apart. Part No. B14010-15s. They cost about $20.00 and I have asked my supplier about it and they said Goodman has a new igniter coming out but I have yet to see it. I hope it is made of steel of some sort so as not to become brittle.
