TBH, I'm inclined to go with the fresh install route.
After all Vista is a bit flaky.

Well I'll let you all know in a few days as I've just finished downloading Win7 Enterprise.
Oh the joys of Enterprise level volume licensing ;)

My Opo has been running the RC for a while with no issues.

I won't be doing upgrades and will just wait until the hardware gets replaced. Too much work for minimal gain. I've been running the RC too, some of the display elements exceed their borders. Maybe just a video driver issue.

I installed the RC into a separate partition on my test box. Its dual booting without a problem so far. The only issue is I have to reinstall any software I want to use under 7.

I've gotten my RTM version and will probably install it this week on my main machine.

I can confirm it runs important software, like Halo 2, just fine.

I was impressed by how well it picked up all my hardware including a 10+ year old parallel port print server.

Shame it's only really NT 6.1, but hey ho.
    Very fast install.
Took just under 45 minutes from XP to online Win7 including updates and domain change.
The only fater OS install I have seen recently, from M$ at least, was server 2008 at sub 30 minutes.

First impressions on an everyday machine are good.
It's pretty fast and I haven't even started tweaking yet.
Turned User control OFF as it's a pain in the bottom, especially on a rebuild.
