    Echinacea herbaceous perrennial plant
I planted echinacea in my garden last year from a pot and it had blooms on it. This year I have a healthy multi budded plant about as high as I am, which is about 5 ft. Now its mid July and the buds are not nearly ready to bloom. I am anxious to see them. It is such a lovely flower and attracts Monarch butterflies. Does anyone know what time of the summer this plant is supposed to bloom ? Is there a way to force it ?

It can be done, but sounds somewhat difficult.

I bought a plant from ikea a few years ago, but I have no idea what it is. If it is what I suspect I want to use it for my cooking, but don't want to risk it. I took it my garden centre but the spotty 16 yr old didn't have a clue! It is potted inside, lived on my kitchen window sill,...
