Not a member of a church but want to be married in church
Neither my fiancé or myself are members of a church, however we want to be married in a church. We live in Whitehall, PA and are wondering if anyone knows of a church that would marry us without having to join.

Call around -- ELCA Lutheran, Unitarian, Community -- etc.

Why would you want to marry in a church if you don't want to belong to one?

Usually lutheran churches are OK with it. And a lot of non denominational churches are good with it. :) good luck hon. And congratulations!

Probably not Wisconsin Synod or Missouri Synod Lutheran (more strict) -- but ELCA Lutheran might do it. Depends on the pastor and the rules set down by the board of elders.

I may not want to be a member, but I do believe in God and want to say my vows in a church. So far, no luck and I have emailed Lutheran churches. Thanks for the responses! :)

I'm sorry I can't help more. If you lived in az, I would suggest the church I got married at. But was not and still not members to. It's a non denominatitonal church but has heavy ELCA lutherin undertones to it. Called community church of joy.

The fact that you are not members of a Church should be irrelevant. You might try telling the Church that you believe in God and have accepted Jesus as your Savior, however you have not found the Church that most suits the two of you. Under that context, I'm very surprised that you can not find a Church. In fact, any Christian Church should be embarrassed for having turned you down.
