If u can hear motor running when in spin cycle, either belt is broken or drive wheel is broken.

Thanks Chuck but I don't hear anything. When I move the dial to the wash cycle and the rinse cycle and then pull out, it starts agitating. But when I push in and move to the end of those cycles pull out nothing happens. Same at spin cycle. No noises at all. It is 12 years old may be time for new.

If u have more than one wash cycle, did u try spin in other cycles?

When in spin cycle do u get a burning smell?

Either the switch or motor has burned out.

More than likely it is the motor.

Most likely the lid switch is broken.

Some times there would be some chocked up in that due to which such problem is occurring.
