    In all sports it's hard to compare players from different generations. Also, what are we judging by? Individual stats? Team success?

    I would have to say Michael Jordan is the best player of my lifetime. 1 NCAA Championship, 6 NBA Championships, 5 NBA MVPs, 6 NBA Finals MVPs. His career average is over 31 points per game. Doesn't get much better than that.
