I have been having problems that I started noticing almost a year and a half ago.
I drank 64 oz or more of Pepsi a day since I was 15 or 16. Around 15 yrs ago I cut down to 24 to 32 oz. A couple years ago I cut back a little more.
I figured out this spring one of the symptoms was adrenaline exhaust which lead to some nerve damage in my neck and hands. This Mar and Apr I would get these panic type attacks and my heart would feel like it was literally being crushed and some other related problems like edgy, sweating like hot flashes, weakness and inability to remember things enough to multi task. It comes like an attack two or three times a day. I have to sit down and eat something and I make a banana, pineapple, coconut smoothie which all seems to help.
I quit drinking soda and I am laid off for the summer (I think something at my work was also causing the problem to be worse). I also started taking an herbal ardrenaline supplement. My heart doesn't crush anymore but I still get a little pain when I get these attacks.
Then a week or so ago Mike Savage and Jerry Doyle did a news report on cola causing paralysis. I looked it up just now.
Drinking large amounts of cola can cause paralysis, doctors warn
Drinking large amounts of cola every day can cause muscle problems, an irregular heartbeat and even paralysis, doctors have warned.
Chronic consumption of the drink can cause a condition called
hypokalaemia, in which levels of potassium in the blood fall, in some patients. Symptoms can range from mild weakness and constipation to paralysis.
Researchers said that family doctors should look out for muscle problems in people who drink large amounts of cola, after finding that patients who drank between two and 10 litres a day developed the condition.
Writing in the International Journal of Clinical Practice, researchers from the University of Ioannina in Greece detail cases of the condition, including a pregnant women who was drinking between three and seven litres of the soft drink a day.
"We are consuming more soft drinks than ever before and a number of health issues have already been identified including tooth problems, bone demineralisation and the development of metabolic syndrome and diabetes" said Dr Moses Elisaf, who led the review of research.
"Evidence is increasing to suggest that excessive cola consumption can also lead to hypokalaemia."
All patients made a full and speedy recovery after they stopped drinking cola and took supplements of potassium.
Both the sugar and caffeine in cola can help to trigger the condition, the team behind the study believes.

I am going to look up what to eat and drink and things to do for hypokalaemia.
So far I have read that it causes a potassium imbalance and I have been craving bananas
A good bit.
If you can tell me anything about it and some things to do for it I appreciate it.
Thanks
P.S. I have been trying to find some way to get health coverage to go to the docs.
Welfare and every where said I was not eligible. Chiropractors gave me free consultations but will not give me a sliding payment scale option.
They pretty much did confirm what I figured.
Just yesterday I got a charity care for 6 months thanks to when my boyfriend pushed me in the ice and I had to get stitches.
So I am going to go and ask for an official diagnosis.
