    Mower deck belt routing John Deere 420 - 50inch deck
    Hi - I am looking for help on the routing for deck belt for John Deere 420 with 50 inch deck.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Steve,

    Go to Johndeere.com

    Click "Residential"

    Click "Services & Support"

    Click "View Operators Manual & Parts Catalogs

    Click "Search for Operators Manual"

    Enter Model 420 and hit enter.

    There you go. Have fun!

    Hi,
    That answer about Deere was almost right except that mower comes with a choice of three decks. The deck will have its own model number; should have a serial number tag and the first six digits of the thirteen are the model number. You will need that for the manual.
