I am kind of curious as to how a philosopher would earn a living? Hell, I'd like to.. (without writing a book)

Become a philosophy professor! You get to talk philosophy all day, write philosophy during your free time... I'm finishing up my undergrad in philosophy now (final year!), then going on to a dual degree program (JD/PhD in Phil.) so I can practice law, teach legal ethics, teach philosophy courses, and write like mad.

    =)
