I already tried that web site (babelfish.altavista.com), and they don't translate very good. You see, I tried typing words in english to be translated in spanish,(I speak spanish) for example, and they're not always right. Sometimes they give the literal translation and that's not how you write it. So I figured if they do this with translating spanish, then they must do the same with french.
Is there anyone who actually knows how to write in french here?

"We're taking a pound of strawberries"

European French speakers use the metric system, not the imperial (metric being introduced after the French Revolution).

Just curious. Why would you take a pound of strawberries, even if France didn't use the metric system?
