    Child on birth certificate but not the father
    I'm getting a divorce and I have a child and my husbands name is on the birth certificate but he is not the biological father. Can I have his name removed from the birth certificate and is he still responsible for child support?

    He might not be the biological father but he is the legal father and as far as all of that goes, its actually MORE important.

    You may not be able to have him removed from the birth certificate and if you did, no, he would no longer be responsible for child support.

    How old is the child and what state do you live in?
