    Prom Dresses
    To sum this up,

What do you think is appropriate attire to wear to the Prom for a girl?

Anything other than what Paris Hilton would wear [back in the day before she "changed"].

    Wholesome, pretty, modest.

    Ugly, distasteful, slutty.

So, do people usually wear floor length dresses or knee-length ones?

You should wear something contemporary, not too revealing (unless you like being labeled as a slut) and that matches your style.
If you're bringing a date, you pick the color he wears. You need to match.
I don't care what he says, prom attire is up to the girls. :P

I assume your going to your prom.. that's awesome.. I love dress shopping.

In my opinion it doesn't have to be floor lenth but below the knee is best.
    Strapless is really pretty too.

Have fun shopping for the dress!

Prom is all out. Your saying good bye to your friends and its something you will always remember. Colors that are HOT right now are bright pinks, light purples, and any type of blue. Those colors don't clash your body and they go with any skin color.
The best prom dresses past your knee. Don't get a super skin tight prom dress, you want to be comfortable.
To find great dresses that are totally hot and affordable go to forever twentyone, deb, wet seal, and even sears.

    Good luck.
If you will answer meback and tell me your body type, skin color, hair color, eyes color I can give you an example of the PERFECT dress.
Just call me the prom docter.

Wow, anything goes. Try to find some pretty prom dresses, some of them inexpensive at this section of the prom dress website.
