    2004 trailblazer speedometer does not work
    My 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer speedometer and tachometer has stopped working. I'm nervous about taking it to a dealership as I have heard about $600+ cluster repairs.

    Any ideas on the solution to the problem? Thanks.

    . Check all underdash and underhood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

    . Check Variable Speed Sensor (VSS) and connections.

    . Clean main ECM ground.

    If problem persists, you'll likely have to remove the cluster. Before replacing it, clean connectors--you may luck out.
