    Hello marcelle

Go to the AV menu and see what is not protected, and why.
Is your system set on automatic upload?
Perhaps your subscription period has expired?

Sometimes it happens when you have not subscribed to one of its components and it's trying to sell you something (the anti-spyware component for example).

If you have a stand alone Anti Virus Software that scans for nothing but virus infections and it's telling you that your computer is not fully protected it is due to one of three things:
    1. Virus Definitions are out of date - conduct a live update to get current

    2. Subscription has Expired - renew and perform step 1.

    3. Part of internal program such as scan engine, update engine or some other functional part of the software has been damaged or corrupted - Uninstall and reinstall, conduct step #1 updates process.

IF you have one of the All In One types of software that is suppose to protect you from Spyware/Malware AND Virus attacks, dump it for separate stand alone products as steps 1-3 above still apply.

    Hi,
You need to update the anti virus which you have and if it is still not updating then, check the updating services from start > run > type services.mcs > select the mac fee updating services and get click on the start button and service will start.
Or you can get free avg , avast anti virus. You need download and install from respective their sites.
