Is he gay?
I've never really been sure about my sexuality but now I have come to terms to with it. Also there is this guy, however I can't tell he is gay. Someone said he is but it is difficult to tell. He hasn't got the stereotypical features of a homosexual guy; the voice, his mannerisms and so on. Something someone said was that he doesn't display his sexuality on Facebook? I don't really know if this could mean anything but my mate seems to think so. Also are there any other ways of noticing whether someone is gay?

Yea if they say they r? Why don't u just ask him? That's the best direct way to get the correct answer. You can't depend on rumors or mannerisms. And Facebook oh goodness that's the least reliable.

I'm going to have to go with the direct approach as well. I don't put anything on my Facebook either, but I'm straight, so it doesn't mean much.
I guess if you're too scared to ask him directly, you could ask his closest friend? Better to find out the truth than to speculate.

My opinion if you really want to know ask! But stereotypes you shouldn't worry about. I have a few guy friends and honestly you can't tell unless a hottie walks by and we check him out together! :)

It sucks having a homosexual preference for just this reason. Honestly, the only way you can find out his is by asking if he's gay. If you want, you can come up with some excuses for asking if he says no. Good luck ;)

There is no way of knowing really other than asking him. Or you could just ask him if he has a girlfriend and see if you get an answer through that...

Are you trying to hook up with this guy and is that why you need to know? If you want to hook up,just ask him.The most he can say is no,I don't swing that way.
If it is just idle curiosity than I would say, what difference does it make?
My male gay friends are just like my straight male friends but better dressed. That is the only distinction.

It may be stereotypical to some but to me it is an observation of my male gay friends. They dress nicer than my straight male friends. I wasn't going for funny ,simply answering if there is any way to *tell* if someone is gay.

Just because a guy dresses good does not make him gay. I've seen gay guys dress terrible before~!

Look at Artlady's profile, she has helped a lot of people.
She had an opinion, it's hers. Her observation, you don't have to agree.

Is he gay?
Threads merged, and edited.
The one guy in particular I am thinking off has had girlfriends and has actually had sex with her. However everyone believes him to be gay. They believe this by his voice, the way he acts, his fashion and how he is very good friends with many girls like many gay people can be.
Personal experiences with him include over enthusiastic hellos on the school corridor and the odd slap on the arse. The second one could be the result of drinking by the way.

Those aren't signs of being "gay" I have mostly female friends, I get along with them better, I also have jokes with friends that involve the "arse" pat. We usually say "good game" afterward, just to joke around.
The voice also isn't a give away, Mike Tyson has a high voice, but not gay.
Best thing you can do, is just ask him

That does not mean anything..
If you think he is gay, ask the guy.
Very simple if you ask me.

I'd rather believe the words that the man speaks when asked "are you gay?" rather than base assumptions on a person voice, style and personality.

I think it's that you want him to be gay so you are ignoring the obvious signs that he probably isn't. He has had girl friends and has had sex with them. If told otherwise, I'd assume he's not gay. The voice means nothing. Depending on his age, his voice may have not deepened yet, and like someone said above, mike tyson and many more have more femine voices and they are straight.
