    I'm having trouble. I need to find the equation of the line that contains the point (6,8) and has a slope that is undefined. What is the equation of the line?

    What is the Midpoint
    I need to find the midpoint of the line segment joining the points P1 and P2.
    P1 =(-0.3,2.1). P2 = (1.2,1.3).

    Remember : you have to do your own homework.
    I just provide you the way how to calculate your answer.

    Draw X and Y lines
    Mark P1 (-0.3,2.1) and P2 = (1.2,1.3)
    Connect P1 and P2
    Draw triangle from P1 horizontal and vertical from that line to P2
    Calculate the horizontal and vertical sides of this triangle.
    Calculate than the hypothenusa of this triangle (which is line P1 to P2)
    Calculate the half value of this line.

    When a line has an undefined slope, it is vertical.

    A horizontal line has slope 0

    ksw0614 : please note that my reply refers to the rephrased question in post #3.
    What is the Midpoint : I need to find the midpoint of the line segment joining the points P1 and P2. P1 =(-0.3,2.1). P2 = (1.2,1.3), which clearly - seeing the coordinates of P1 and P2 is a non-horizontal non-vertical line.
    Galactus' reply refers to the question in post #1.

    :)
