    Career in astronomy
    I am BSC (IT) student and have interest in astronomy.Can I go for it after BSC(IT) or another way to take this line?

    It depends on what you really want to do. I have two BS degrees - one in Physics and one in Astronomy, both from the Univ of Maryland.

    Most people I know, in order to *do* Astronomy, wind up having to get a PhD and spend all their time at a university doing what I consider to be pretty boring stuff.

    Don't get me wrong - I LOVE astronomy and space and all (and I do have a career in aerospace), but before considering pursuing a degree in this subject, you should ask yourself what do you really see yourself doing day-to-day.
