Bad CD drive, need to install keyboard software.
I just got a new keyboard with customizable hotkeys but gee whiz neither of my CD drives will open!

Can I just copy the files from the cd (on another computer) to my flash drive and bring the flash drive to this computer and install the software that way?

    Thanks!

Probably. Since its hardware related you probably just need the files, not the disk.

If you're on a network you can just share the CD drive on the other computer and map it onto your system - you can do this with floppy disk drives as well!

I agree, you probably won't need the disk. On the off chance that you do though, you could make an ISO or BIN/CUE image file of the disk, transfer it, and mount it on your hard drive using a free software called "Daemon Tools." This should emulate any protection inherent to the disk.
