    Foos addiction
Hello everyone. I know this may sound stupid but I am addicted to eating. I always seem to be eating even when I am not hungry. I have tried diets and start really well but after a few weeks I stop and revert back to my old ways. I am about 5'4 and about 5 stone over weight. I would like something to help me stop this I don't really know what is controlling it. Because I cant. I was going to ask my doctor for some help but I don't really think he could do anything for me. Oh I do feel like the fat girl everywhere I go. I do look in the mirror and see my arse getting bigger and my stomach ballooning. You would think that would spur me on to diet or do some more exercise but it just doesn't. I can't seem to control myself. If anyone has any advice please could you help me.

I see you are in England, and I don't know if you have self-help groups, that is, 12 Step Program Groups there.

Anyway, I think you would find a self-help group very helpful. All people who have problems with food, lots of fellowship and knowledge sharing.

    Best wishes, :)

Make a list of what your eating every day, for a couple of days and then start by subtracting things that are not good for you, small steps to get you back on tract, want a snack, eat something healthy, small handfuls of nuts or seeds, fruit, veggies ice water. Something that will fill you and get you over the urges. How about whe you ge the urge to eat, take a walk, take out the garbage, pick up the yard, keep busy... get you mind off it, maybe boredom is making you eat?
