Wheeler & Wilson 1862 sewing machine value or appraisor
I have a Wheeler & Wilson antique treadle sewing machine. It is very difficult to read the manufacture date, but it appears to be 1862. It is in good condition with the original leather belt attached. I understand the first useful sewing machine made was 1851 and the closer to that date, the more value. I am in financial hardship, so I am looking to sell the machine and/or find someone to appraise it. I also understand the Smithsonian institute asked to have this machine from my great grandmother.
