    Environmental Science
Many environmental problems, such as depletion of natural resources, air pollution, and
Overpopulation, exist throughout the world. The root of most of these global problems stems
From the local environment and decisions made at local levels that are based on lifestyles
Choices such as those regarding food, transportation, and housing.

All I can say is that the more polpulation your country has the more pollution you make... no wonder how small your country is.like the philippines. It has 90,000,000 people and its 2 times smaller than canada or more and its one of the poverty country.

    Search how small it is.

If it was only the actual population number of a country, the US would be a clean and hardly-polluting nation.

The problem is that most western countries like the US live far above reasonable living standards - if compared to the rest of the world. They pollute as much as they want, and provide little space nor incentive for other - third-world - economies to develop to a higher standard of living.

Just as a thought : if the entire world population would live like the average US american, you would require at least two or three planets earth to provide sufficient energy and food for each person.

As that is not possible, the basic conclusion should be that wealthy countries have to reduce their living standards to a level that allows other human beings in other countries to develop further. But which politician will admit that to the voters?

    That is the real dilemma.

    :)
