    Skyler is here!
My due date was 1/1/2009, but my water broke on 12/6/08. I had at 36 weeks and 3 days and he weighted 5lbs 6oz. Everything is fine with him and I had him naturally with no drugs at my birthing center.

His name is Skyler Christopher Wolf. I will post pictures once I figure out how.

Did the doctors say why he came early?

Yes, he was premature because I was under 37 weeks but they didn't consider it a high risk due to how far along I was but still every precaution was taken. He left the birthing center weighting at 6lb 3ozs and everything is okay with him.

Congratulations!! I know you are so proud!!

Babies coming this early aren't uncommon. How long did he stay in the birthing center? To gain weight before going home is uncommon unless he stayed in for a few days.

    Thank you all!

He didn't stay at the birthing center, he was discharge with me today. I was just saying that he gain weight before we left. My midwife stated she'd have been concern if his weight would have went down after birth.

Southerngalps, I'd misread your question before and just reread it. My midwife didn't give me an exact answer to why he came early however she did state that it wasn't uncommon.

The only best answer to your question is my mother answer. Which was "he just wanted to come out".
