    Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Remote
I purchased 4 Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan with Remotes when I had my home rewired last winter.

All of the fans work well and the remotes are excellent. They allow for remote control of the fan and light as well as containing a thermostat to control the fan.

I have two of the fans installed in downstairs bedrooms. The bedrooms are separated by a bathroom and the fans are approximately 20 feet apart.

My problem is that the remotes in these downstairs bedrooms control each other. That is, turning on or off the light or changing the fan speed has the same effect on the fan 20 feet away in another bedroom.

    Is there a solution?

    Thanks!

Yes, change the frequency on one fan and it's remote.

I will check for DIP swtiches. I thought I had looked, but probably not closely enough. There would have to be DIP switches on both the remote and the receiver in the fan - right?

Yes. And they should match-- but not match any other fans or remotes.
