    1. Generally obesity is caused by not excercising enough for the amount you eat.
    2. Eating less or excercising more can help to control your weight. You should get advice on how to do this safely from someone qualified to give such advice. Like your doctor.

    Hi, emenam!

Greetings and WELCOME to the site! I just moved your question that you had posted in Introductions to this topic area so that it would get the most exposure to those who are best able to answer it. Introductions is for people to introduce themselves and we try to not ask questions there.

I do note that you've already received a couple of responses. You'll be more likely to get even more, now!

We would appreciate it if you would return to Introductions sometime to tell us a little about yourself though, if you would be willing to do that.

    Thanks!

Drinking soft drinks, whether diet or not, has been associated with weight gain and diabetes. Switch to drinking water when you are thirsty and eating lots of whole fruits (rather than juices). Avoid high carb, low fiber foods like candy and donuts and other sweet cake like foods.

And take a walk a 20 minute walk every day.

Try to eat healthy and exercise also. My doc prescribed me phentermine and it works great with suppressing hunger.
