    Headphone Jack hook-up
I have a stereo TV/VHS/DVD combo. I want to put in a 1/4" headphone jack that when headphones are plugged in, the sound can only be heard through the headphones; when unplugged, the TV speakers come back on. The headphone jacks that I have 1/4" female input, with 2 or 3 leads on the outer ring, and both types have 1 internal connection. How would I hool this up. Both speakers in the TV connect to the circuit board.
    Thank you.

It is a special jack that has resistors, I forget the value, wiring will go from board to jack, and both speakers go to jack. A quick easy way is from an old stereo, it has the wires in and the wires out, and resistors.
