Work permit for a non-EU member in Spain while my spouse(EU member) will stay in UK
    Hi there,

I live in the UK with my wife. She is an EU member and I am non-EU member.

I am moving first to Spain for work reasons there but my wife will stay in UK for at least 4 months then she will join me. The Spanish company does not sponsor me to get a work permit so I need to apply for it having the benefits of being married to a EU-member.

Can I apply for a work permit in Spain no matter that my wife will stay in another country.

If I can what type of visa should I ask for? Which is the procedure to follow? And how long does it take to get a work permit?

    Cheers,

    MG

If work permit is benefit gained from marriage to EU citizen, your spouse must be with you, not in different country.
