Ha, ha, ha, ha. I copied it and rotated it, that's the only reason I figured it out. :)
Oh, and the CM comment helped, because she paints her dogs toe nails. :)

Hi all...
You guys are just too fast for this old lady to keep up anymore. But I thought I'd share some good news with you.
Guess what... that Pulmonary specialist who so arrogantly gave me my diagnosis last September in the inpatient ward hallway surprised the B-Jesus out of me Thursday when I went in for blood gas tests and the prescription for the portable oxygen unit. I thought it would be on heck of a visit with stress and him acting like a 'superior being'.. but that's not what happened.
He actually was friendly, shook my hand (as custom in Germany) and even spoke in english with me. After the tests, he spent almost an hour explaining a new medication, asking what I wanted (quality vs. quantity), about my DNR (do not reanimate) and even asked about my family. He listened to me when I told him that I needed my own home comforts, my grandson, family, and cat, TV, internet and phone, etc... and stated that he'll do everything in his power to help me be as comfortable as possible at home. He also said that I did not need to go 'shopping' on my own for the oxygen unit, he made a few phone calls and ordered a unit to have it delivered to my address within the next few days and ASKED me to please see a Hematologist/Oncologist friend of his to talk about a new medication that will reduce the blood exudate every time I cough and increase the quality for as long as possible. I tell you, this absolutely floored me... I am positive that this person I met last year has been replaced by a clone that is more human.
My companion (a super lady - social worker) who takes me to doctor visits and other places since I can no longer drive on my own, was with me and she also was surprised at how he had changed and was so super helpful... She is also a wonderful person and goes with me to my cancer group with me when I have the energy to go. She helps me with the beurocratic BS and correspondence and has also helped me on her own free time many occasions. I don't usually trust many Germans but she has crept into my heart and told me that she's never met anyone like me before either. She's the one that organizes appointments for cleaning ladies and other people to go shopping for me when my daughter is on vacation. I trust her enough that I gave her a key to my place and she calls me at least once a day when we don't have anything scheduled. I feel blessed in having her in my life, and also the way things turned out at the visit with the Pulmonary specialist.
Now, on a personal note, my grandson had a 'conversation' with me on the phone twice already. He calls me OMA and actually talked with me and told me about 'school' (he's in kindergarten now) and just rattled on.. could have used a baby-talk translator, but it was WONDERFUL! I get to spend next weekend with him at his house (with the oxygen unit) and see him use the bike, trike, and rocking horse that I got him.
On another note.. Stringer - I hope your trip goes well and want to hear all about it when you get back.
Sneezy, how did you do on the MCat?
Since I've been getting so many 'messages' to my email addresses from unknown folks, I dismiss all of them, so if the messages came from some of you, I'm sorry... just send me regular email with Momma C in title and I will know it's from my web family.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ALL!

MOMMA C!!
Well, I'm so glad that things worked out very well for you at the hospital. Yes, doctors are jerks... I hope to be one too! :D
And the chat with your grandson!! That sounds amazing. I'm so glad you'll get to spend next week with him.
I did OK on the mcat. I think. I'm not really sure. It was harder than anything I've ever studied for... and the materials tested were from left field... there's even a discussion board online about how ridiculous this test was... so I guess we'll see? ::fingers crossed::
Hope you have a good weekend, and try to make sure that grandkid of yours don't fall off the bike!!

Sneezy, the way you interact here with people, I'm certain you will be a very compassionate physician. And if not, you know I plan on spooking when I'm out of this crappy body, so you can expect me to come by and remind you how to act if you fall out of line. Momma C will always be around, and don't you forget that.
Just keep green apple or vanilla scented candles at your place at all times - they are my favorite.

Sneezy cat
[ 2 Answers ]
I just found out that my cat had some kind of allergy and well she had an itchy lesion on her head, the vet said it wasn't anything serious and that all I had to do was put an ointment on her wound. Almost a week later she is now sneezing uncontrollably and I am really worried that this could be a...
