    My vision
Okay so recently about like 2 months ago I went to visit the doctor and he said I need glasses I forget if he said I had the eye disease but I think he did which means I need glasses but the weird thing is I cannot see small lettering from far and one of my eye its like weird and people tease me about being a freak it is not a lazy eye its just I think only one of my eye caught the eye disease and well I was just wondering if any one knows if I were to wear glasses for along time would my one eye get corrected like I don't expect to see small lettering from far but like would it go back to normal like my other eye .I don't think anyone knows what I am trying to stay but my friends look at my different in the eyes sometimes like I'm no freak only if my other eye was normal like the other one they would know that I'm not .My eye its just like not messed up but I do think it damaged from watching t.v and sometimes that one eye even hurts if its really bright and its light sensitive .I know I need glasses but if any one has had this happen please let me know..
    Thanks

    Hello Kristine

That you cannot see small lettering from far is just an indication that you have problems with Myopia, or near-sightedness : the ability to clearly see objects up close but not those at a distance. Hyperopia is the opposite of Myopia: it affects your ability to see close-up objects.

The only one to say if your problem is permanent or not is your optician or (even more) your eye-specialist.
There is - if needed - the possibility of different glasses for the different requirements for each eye. The older you get, the less things will change, reason why contact lenses are more for adults.
There is now even laser treatment of adult eyes, allowing a life without glasses or lenses. But you will also have to wait for that option, till you grow older, and your eyes stabilize.

All the best to you !

Without knowing what is really wrong with your eye *** it appears it is something that you can see, some physcial item with your eye.

But if you need glasses, get them, why if you were supporse to get them two months ago you don't have them. You should have gotten them two months ago

Yes, you need to get glasses if you were told you need them. Without knowing the specifics of the eye disease or better yet, the name; no one can tell you anything regarding it.

    Get glasses right now.

Well yes I have to get glasses but one of my eyes is like not lazy eye but it gets sensitive in light and people think I'm like weird but what they don't know is that only one of my eye is like messed up,I can't see clearly from far away with both my eyes but one of my eyes is like messed .The doctor said that people catch some kind of eye disease I don't know what he means by that but I think that's what one of my eye caught :(.
And yes I know about the laser eye treatment thing but that is like 900 $ I think it said for both eyes ,that's so much I wish it cost less and when I got older I would be more happy since it wouldnd cost as much .

And I also was wondering if you know how I was talking about the one eye disease how I think only one of my eye got it like if I look side ways it looks like its like coming out and I'm sure it looks creepy but if I were to wear glasses would it ever get corrected?

Like I said, I don't really know what you are talking about because you're not really describing the eye disease except for "creepy" and "not a lazy eye". If you can give me the name of this eye disease, then I can be of a little more assistance to you.

All I can say now, is GET GLASSES. No excuses.

And ignore what other's say. Who cares what they think? Your health is far more important.

Yes thank you for commenting on my question
Well it is not any kind of disease I'm sure the doctor when he said its an eye disease, I'm sure he meant that I just need glasses but yes I am going back to the eye clinic and asking if there is a certain name for it . And I like this thing and I hope people aren't giving false advice I'm not saying you are but there is teenagers including me who are concerned and well at times like these ,even if the situation is not a crisis I would think its allot of help from all you guys . And well I don't even think anyone could see this lol .
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !

Did he say that you have Myopia? Because that just means that you are near-sighted which means that you need glasses to correct it.

Just so that you know, anyone with more than 300 posts you can usually trust their advice, or anyone with "expert" under their name. Also you can click on their name, go to their profile and see how many red and green blibs they have. The more green, the better the advice. The more red, their advice wasn't usually factually correct. So there are numerous ways of telling whether someone is giving good advice.

Cause it might by myopia but I don't think he sad that what does myopia mean
And well I don't know what he said I don't even think he told me
But okay so I can't see clear from both eyes right but one of my eye is like pointing upwards when I look up and that's why my friends when they look me in the eyes there like you're a freak lol like I mean the eye that I'm talking about it doesn't move as fast when you look in someone's eyes like it moves slowly and when it does it doesn't move the way it should .so do you think if I got glasses how long will I have to wear them till my eye got corrected and will it get corrected ?

Glasses only correct while you are wearing them... they don't correct vision... If that is something that you are interested in you could try vision therapy.

And you can't visually look at someone and tell that they are farsighted, it has no aesthetic effect on you.

No I know they cannot correct vision
But I was wondering if you know how long a person would have to wear glasses for one of my eyes toget corrected ,like do you know about how long I would have to wear glasses.

I'm just glad that only one of my eyes need correcting ,because if both did I would look like a total retard.I alreay look weird ,so my friends say .

You just contradicted yourself. Glasses don't fix your vision, they enable you to see clearly while they are worn.

    no like
the doctor said that glasses would help correct it ,because one of my eye is too long or something n in the light it cannot focus right so i need it to be corrected which means the glasses could help reshape something in my eye or something so it focuses the right way in light .
so you dont know how long i would have to wear glasses for ?

I'll try to explain this the best way I can. If he said that you're eye is too long, that means that you have an astigmatism. Wearing glasses will not correct the shape of your eye, it will help to focus the light where it needs to be focused.

This will be the last time that I say this: You will always have to wear glasses if you want to see correctly. Glasses will not fix your vision, just make you see while you are wearing them.

Please tell me that you understand what I am saying.

Myopia is the diagnoses of your vision. If you are really having this much trouble comprehending what is going on, go back to your eye doctor so that he/she can explain it all to you again. Without seeing your prescription and having his/her diagnoses in front of me there is no more advice that I can give you that I already haven't.

    WEAR YOUR GLASSES.

Why don't you just ask him to repeat and/or explain that again to you? Why don't you give him/her a phone call about that?

Ask about the need for glasses, the cause of the eye disease, and if there is any possible natural correction possible, or alternatively other correction as for instance operation. Ask for detailed information and on some form of planning/checking scheme, for you as guideline.

I wish you all the best with your eyes!

I checked it up and this is what I have
I also can't see clearly from far with both eyes
    But glasses will help.
Although one of my eye needs to be corrected because of this problem
And it says my eye can be corrected with glasses
But I do not know how long I would have to wear glasses for .

If you have sharp vision, incoming light is focusing on your retina (shown in yellow).

In myopic or nearsighted eyes, light focuses in front of the retina, because the eye is too long. In hyperopic or farsighted eyes, light focuses behind the retina, because the eye is too short.
