Is my belly button ring infected ?
When I was 13 I had lost the top ball of my belly ring so I put an eraser on the top of it so the ring wouldn't fall off and I went to a store the next day and bought a brand new belly ring but the piercer who peirced my belly ring told me I could change my belly ring after a month . So stupid me ended up buying a very long and heavy belly ringed and it dragged my whole until it came off completley . So I am now fourteen and in April I got it pierced again and when I got it done in April the amount of skin holding the ring was quite large and it shrunk so now there's a little bit of skin . Is that normal ? And there's puss coming out of it . I clean it with bactine sometimes and I'm usually wearing kind of tight shirts . I got in a pool with clorine ; did that make it worse ? It looks the same it did before I got inside of the pool.. My belly ring irratates me only sometimes . I put salt water on it every time I got to the beach . Is it infected ? If so what do I do ? Pleaseee help I don't want to go and get it pierced again for the 3rd time!

Didn't I already give you an answer? Go to the doctor, we can't diagnose you over the internet.

Could it be infected, yes, it could, you need to see a doctor.

First of all, stop using Bactine!! It is too harsh for piercings and will just make matters worse.

Clean your piercing once a day, and only once a day, with antibacterial (Dial) soap. That is all that is needed. Overcleaning will cause the symptoms you are describing.

What color is the pus that is coming out of it?

If the amount of skin between the balls on the barbell is less than when you got it pierced, that is a sign of migration and needs to be looked at by your piercer or a doctor.

Put salty water on your belly button two times a day and change it to a smaller belly bar and do not remove for three week and it should work if if don't you will need antiobotics

It sounds like migration, and that your body is rejecting it, and doesn't want it there.
Go see your piercer, and/or doctor.
Wait wait... did you say you put salt water on it every time you went to the beach? As in, from the ocean? Are you insane? Do you know what's in there? And its not the more salt the better.
Also, I can't believe they okay-ed it to change after a month. Seems way to early.

First things first I can't believe they pierced you at all at such a young age.. you may want too talk too your mom and let her know what is going on.. also try going to a smaller navel ring like a banana bar and also wear loose fit clothing the rubbing of clothing can cause it too irritate at times

Most people may say to go to your doctor about your naver piercing, well if you don't want to get it pierced again then don't because most doctors will tell you to take it out. When you go to your piercer they willtell you not to take it out if it is infected because if you do, each side of the pierced hole will heal closed and the infection will still reamian, that will be bad.
But if your stomic is infected, use your cleaning substance then after use pollysporn because it will pervent infection...
When my stomic got infected I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol then put pollysporn on it about three times a day, and now it is perfectly fine.
So have funn and take care. :)

You should only get rings from your piercer. Never get them from any other store such as walmart or any where in the mall, because this will cause the skin to grow out which means the skin will get so thin that eventually the ring will just fall out, this is what my piercer told me. So good luck!
