    Fluorescent dimmer
I've heard that dimmer switches should not be used with fluorescent lights (kitchen). True or not? I haven't found anything in the books that I have. Are there dimmer switches made just for fluorescents?

    Thanks for the help.

Correct, dimmers for regular lights will state "For Incandescent Only". Fl lights need there own dimmers and ballasts, and some need special wirimg between the dimmer and fixture.

Review this attached info, and get back with any other questions you may have, along with the type of fixture you are considering dimming.
