    How can you be sure someone is bonded?
    When a service company owner tells you he's bonded, how can you check to make sure?

    I ask to see the bond or request info on the bond and then call the bonding company to verify it.

    Same with insurance if someone works on my property.

    If they won't provide the info I assume there's no bond or insurance.

    Yes, he will and has to provide you a copy and you can verify it with the bonding company.
