Submersible Water pump Lag time in turning on
We have a manufactured home with an assume submersible pump as we cannot find another pump anywhere. Our water will run for several minutes but then stops and there is a few minute lag before the pump triggers to come on then the water flow returns. What is the problem and how do we solve it. Also, the only thing we can find under the house is small gray box labeled Tank Alert. We cannot find any other control boxes anywhere? Help!

Are you sure the pump is lagging behind in cutting on? It may be that the pump is cutting on properly, but not delivering water for several minutes. Check and make sure the switch is cutting the pump on at the proper pressure point. You should be able to hear an audible "click" at around 20# or 30# of pressure as water is being used. If need be, take the grey cover off and see if the points are closing at the proper time.
