    How many 1 hour CD's can I get on 1 GB hard drive?
    I am trying to put music on a computer.

    It depends.

    The format and quality level of how you choose to store the music can mean the difference between a lot and a few. As an example for point of reference, I use Windows Media Player and rip for best quality using a lossless format. I store 3 to 5 CD's per GB. If I used a lossy format I might get 20-40 per GB.
