With you, I was just annoyed that you were changing the point to my question. I just want to know why my fellow Canadian's have never had a problem with an underage person selling tobacco. I'm sorry you misunderstood my question, I can go and edit it! Only now I don't know what the hell to ask because it seems everyone takes everything so differently.

I did try to edit it, but I couldn't. You know, I think I like you NeedKarma! You are good!
I picked 13... I don't know why I picked 13. I've seen 9 year olds sell a pack of smokes. If I was a cop, I could arrest so many people for letting a child work! I could arrest a lot of people period.
Anyway, I did try to find what the legal age for working was, but couldn't. Wouldn't be surprised if it's the same as smoking and drinking, different with every province and territory. Lets say it's 16, that's what I do think it is, I would rephrase my question and change 13, to 16.

We do have 13 year olds working at McDonalds in Alberta, but they are only allowed to work as part of the cleaning crew, part time, with a parents permission.

I have seen underage kids selling tobacco in family owned stores, but I don't see the problem. The parents are always there, it's not like the kid is alone in the store, running it by himself, that would make me angry. Anyway, as long as the kid is asking for ID and making sure the person buying the tobacco is of age, it shouldn't be a problem, that's my opinion.

See, this is one of my problems and why you sound so much like the other person - you went to law school but can't ask a clear question - and this is how you express yourself, in such a passive/aggressive manner, profanities when you get frustrated - ? You both are in the medical field - ?

No point in arguing this point any further so I'm out of it for now.

That's your problem, I wish you luck finding help with your problem.
I studied law... around 15 years ago, I happily left due to not agreeing to be so cold hearted. I never swore! You say 'profanities when you get frustrated', where did I swear? Actually swear words are used often with me, but not compared to kids now a days.
The other person I don't know, I do like how she answers questions though.
Hey, maybe we are two evil demands that are just here to scare you and annoy others!
Listen, I am here to answer and ask questions, not have someone tell me what they think of me, even though I really could care less.
If you are wanting to put judgement on people, find a web site that is asking for that.

Hold it! I don't think that my answer was necessarily backing you up, I'm just stating that this is what I know and what I've seen. I agree with the others that your question was a bit misleading, you did specifically ask about 13 year olds, if you meant anyone under the legal age then that's the way it should have been written, to late now. Everyone that responded, did so based on your question, we can't read minds, we answer what we read. I understand that you are getting frustrated, but please don't take it out on everyone here just because you don't agree with their opinions. The people that are posting are good, kind, caring people, I know this for a FACT!

If my answer annoyed anyone then I deeply apologize, that was definitely not my intention, I just wanted to let you know what I've seen in the town that I live in, which happens to be in Canada.

That seems to be what you do! When the pot gets too hot for you, you run in the other direction don't you! My you've been busy! You've studied law, you've studied animal medicine. Anything else?

I didn't appreciate you sending me emails without asking first by the way.

When you studied law, didn't you study the part that says under the law in Canada states that no one under the age of 18 is allowed to buy or sell cigarettes? If you have seen this, why haven't you called the police?. or do you see it and then get on your platform to tell people how wrong it is.

I saw the profanity like everyone else did. And, just as in one of your other threads, you are accusatory and rude to everyone who doesn't have a similar opinion to yours. Do you just want to be a "right fighter"?. as I've mentioned before... do you just NEED to be right and think your opinions are the only ones that count, and everyone else is just stupid if they don't agree with you?

I think you need to find something better to fill your time. I read in my email that your way of doing things is to come on here with your main purpose being to piss people off.

There are other people on here with serious questions that really need some guidance and appreciate our input. If you are just going to come on here to try and rile people up then you really need to find a different hobby.

How about doing something with those animals that you care so dearly about, or how about educating kids on the dangers of smoking, or talk to people about online dating and getting married without ever meeting your new husband.

    No need to reply.

If you don't like the question, don't answer it!
If it makes you feel better, I will erase everything I've studied. Just because I studied law, doesn't mean I know everything! I studied it for just over a year, well over 15 years ago! In case you don't know, that really isn't much, and law does change over time.
I am not fighting against kids selling tobacco, just wondering why people say they care and don't do a bloody thing.
Thank you for your opinion. I don't love pissing people off, I like asking questions. I hate it when I ask a question and someone takes it way off the point.
If you are offended by questions like this, don't answer them! Are you sure you are Canadian?

OH I AM SURE I'M CANADIAN, AND PROUD OF IT! What was that comment meant to imply? Canadians are known for being some of the fairest and friendliest people in the world. I do not believe you are doing the rest of us much justice!

... well, since we're making personal accusations...

... I'm going to have to say... that you're lying about your education.

If you've studied law, vet medicine, and now you're in med school... then I pray for the sake of humanity as your grammar is atrocious. My 15-year old brother has better grammar usage than you do. Seriously.

    This is your profile:

It seems that what I say people get very offended by.
Some think one year of law is suppose to create a person who knows law completely!
So, I have education! I have studied and been in school for years, but I can't say what. It might piss someone off.
I have the great job of assisting in autopsy's, and so far some people here are making my job so much more enjoyable!
I do send a warning, most people will attack you if you disagree with what they say!
Really watch what you write, one wrong word or comma could cause a war!

    ... first line, there's a mistake.
    ... second line, there's a mistake.
    ... third line, there's a mistake.
    ... fourth line, there's a GLARING mistake.

    ... you get the picture?

... and how do the people on this forum make your job more enjoyable... as an assistant ME?. I ask because I have the same job...

Listen hunny, it's not my fault you are so closed minded and decide to assume. You need to open your mind, and be grateful to those around you that do good. Even if you disagree with them, at least others see the good in them!

I do feel the sorry for the bodies you assist on because you probably judge them too.

    What..! WHAT??

I'm closed minded... to... your intelligence and your abilities to make correct grammatical statements?!

... you DO realize that made absolutely NO sense... right? I mean, that wasn't even a response to what I said to you... in any way shape or form. That was straight "I'm avoiding your response like the plague...here's a bunny. Isn't it cute?" Even as a lawyer tactic, that sucked.

I don't judge the bodies I work on... I judge people with poor grammatical skills. If one of the bodies came to life and started talking to me with your style of grammar, then told me that they were studying medicine, then yes, I would judge them.

Oh, and your statement are compliments to me! I really don't give a rats about grammar here, this isn't here to judge people on that. Have you ever, in your life, said something really nice to anyone? Have you ever in your life been nice to anyone? Please just back off and go learn how not to judge people, then maybe you can be a better influence on your brother.

You know what svatnsdal... you're absolutely right. You're right. This forum isn't here for me to judge... it's to give advice. Here's my advice to you:

Quit starting random crap on forums to get people riled up for no reason at all. Have I said something nice to anyone? Probably not... but aren't you judging me in that sense? I've already learned how not to judge, I just choose to. See the difference?

I do try to be a good influence on my brother, the rest is up to God/Allah/Fate whatever you think exists.

    I am 22 years old. I am currently a pre-med/math major/research specialist/day trader/medical examiner assistant. You?

PS - Your maturity shows through when you change your profile every 5 minutes directed at whoever you're pissy at. It reminds me of that away message thing we used to in middle school.

A lot older and more mature than you are. I'm guessing in all of your 12 yrs or so, you wouldn't be able to figure that out.

B'bye now! You are certainly not worth our time! Go study or talk to your dead bodies maybe. They might be able to put up with your nonsense. In fact, you may even bring them back to life when they get tired of listening to you like the rest of us have!
