    What translation is the King James version of the Bible?
    Trying to figure out the different translations of the Bible, any help, did king james put his seal on the translation as we know it. Who was King James?

    Check this: "The 1611 Bible is known as the King James Version in the United States. In the United Kingdom, it is commonly known as the Authorized Version. King James did not personally translate the Bible, but his advance authorization was legally required for the Church of England to translate, publish and distribute the Bible in England."
