I made a few gallons of beef stew. My cooking pot stuck to the stove element and now the stew has a burnt smell although none of the beef, potatoes or vegetables are burned. Help!!

This has happened to everyone, so don't feel too bad about it. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to fix it. If you catch something when it's just beginning to burn, you can often pour off and save what's on top before the flavor permeates the whole pot. But once the smell and taste of the burn gets into the food, there's no remedy. Sorry.
