    Debt settlement programs
    Hello to everyone;

    I signed up with a debt settlement program and feel that I have been left out to sink or swim for myself. Not sure if I should mention there name however can anyone tell me what my rights are if I sign with this company or can I sign with another debt settlement company that will help me. I would not consider changing but these people or my counselor as they are called will not return my calls. When I do speak with them they are always out of the office and will get back to me in afew days which never happens. Plus I read that people have trouble with Citi and I am having all kinds of trouble with them. Just like some of the post I have read they are threatening me as well. Any help with this would be appreciated. I'm really new to all of this. Posting question, debt settlement programs, what creditors will settle your debt. Will they fix your credit after you have setteled the debt.

    Please Help:confused:

    That is what they do. Most of these companies take your money and do little. I'd avoid them. Most are junk. Your credit report will be affected, as if you filed a chapt 13 bankruptcy.

    If you insist on using one, cccs is the best. Ameridebt is the worse.
