    Shower drain issue from Shelton
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    From a new member Shelton:

Our stand up shower drain recently started leaking so we bought a new piece put silicone sealant around the drain inside the shower and then underneath we used that rubber gasket that came w/the drain but we did not use any caulking or glue of any sort when we tightened it up, we also tighten the top part by the drain upstairs w/that nut w/a screwdriver but it still leaks... can you please help me?

    Thank you so much!

Shelton, I moved your PM over to a new post so other can also read and help out. I think we need a few more details to get started. Is this a stand alone shower or a shower/tub combo? Where do you see the leak? Did you put silicone under the lip of the drain inside the shower, did you use any plumbers putty?
