Drinking too much coca - cola
Hello everyone again, I have been craving like crazy coca - cola I have tried to drink other drinks but the craving won't go away. I have had over the past 2 days a 2L of coca - cola that can't be good, is there anything else I can drink to get rid of this craving?

Thanks I never even thought of that, so any sports drinks all do? As long as nothing has caffeine in it? What does caffeine do to the baby, does it raise his or her heart beat?

I am addicted to Pepsi I drank 64 oz a day for over 40 years.
I cut down to 48 oz a couple years ago
Now I drink about 24 oz or more

I didn't drink any cola and was okay for a while a couple months ago when I was eating healthier
But now I haven't been eating as healthy and craving it again.

The better you eat the healthier you feel and the withdrawals and cravings aren't as bad
    If you even get any.
I know when I was eating junk food and loads of sweets it was the worse.
I think it is cause your taste buds and your body get use to one way or the other more or less.

Anyway eating healthy when I didn't crave it
    I was eating
    Yogurt
    Salads
    Whole wheat/grain bread
    No white flour
    N0 sweets (VERY rarely)
    N0 artificial sweeteners
    Use sugar sparingly
Cut out greasy foods and foods with preservatives
Eat a decent amount of protein not too much not too little
Cut out salty foods -especially chips
Try using a good brand sea salt
Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables

    Drink a variety of things
Keep hydrated and keep your electrolytes balanced
Drink water (not tap) I hate drinking water I buy 2.5 gal Polar water really cold hits the spot
    Drink lemonade
Drink healthy juices like Pom juice and Looza
The drinks in the juice aisle have lots of sugar, even the so called healthy ones like Snapple.
Check in the produce section, the section where the cold juices are with the milk and yogurts and if there is a health food aisle, or even an ethnic aisle.
You can add a little club soda to fruit juices when you want the fizz

    Smoothies
    v8
    Tea
    Milk

Oh and take omega or flaxseed oil and use olive oil and good fats
    Avoid Crisco/Wesson type oils.

Wean off it. Like maybe have a little after meals when you first start to really try.
Don't go for diet, or caffeine free cause that makes you crave a good cold one more than weaning off the regular.

I have switched back and forth since 1968
They change their formula a little every so many years to keep your taste buds from tiring of the same flavor.
I don't think there is a difference just a preference.

Sometimes one will have a flavor I don't like and I switch.
I couldn't drink Pepsi for years a while back because it had the diet after taste.
Then Coke started tasting like cough syrup or plastic and I switched back
I haven't bothered to drink a Coke in the past three years.
I liked it best when it had a bit of a cinnamon flavor to it.

Another Pepsi addict. Me. About 2-3 cans a day. The other beverage is usually unsweatened tea. Love the fizz.

Speaking from my professions point of view, neither are good for you! :)

The sugar alone is bad for your teeth, not to mention the caffeine in them. I've also heard that the carbonation (of all soft drinks) interfers with how your body uses calcium.

Water is the drink of choice. If you really MUST have soda, drink it through a straw so you don't rot your teeth.

Try filling up on water and healthy foods. During pregnancy if you have a craving one or two sips (or bites) should be enough to curb the craving. I haven't had soda for 10+ years, but while I was pregnant I craved rootbeer floats. I allowed half of one per day, and after about 3 days the craving started to go away. Try not to drink either Pepsi or Coke.

A little tid bit... I went on a tour of Mammoth Cave in Indiana and one of the facts they told us was that it took less than 1/8th the amount of the same type of acid that is in a singel coke/pepsi to create the entire cave! Now imagine what that must do to your body!

Drink water!! Only allow small amounts of soda if you are craving it that badly. It will go away.
