    I have a GE Washer that won't spin.
    Ge glws1649as1 s# xc22309185 about 4 years old i have a washer that won't spin. It does everything but spins. I put a something in the hood lock to see it spin it moves very very slow as if maybe something got inside and is keeping it from moving. And when it frist happen i smelled it burning. Could a sock get out of the washer been get stuck and keep it from spinning?

    Sounds like the motor has gone bad. Are you putting more clothes than 3/4ths of the washer size?
