    Personally I prefer smaller diamonds ring or three stone rings.

    Large diamond solitaire will retain its value better than the ring with more but small diamonds.

    But in the end of the day it's a personal preference, some people like the traditional, classic look of the solitaire but other like to have more diamonds and opt for a three stone or a ring with various side stones.
