For all those who are lacking someone to share the day with, here are some things to remember to make this a fun A$$ day!

1. Being alone on V-day is better than spending time and money on someone you don't really even care about.

2. Karma is a funny thing. Embrace your single status today and you may find people soon embrace you.

3. Flowers and candy (and most cards) all end up in the trash eventually. When you find the right person, it'll last forever.

4. You lost too much money on the Superbowl to take anyone out tonight anyway!

5. The most romantic night of the year has NEVER been valentine's... it's always the night you never expect.
(How many people spend the year thinking back on what an amazing Valentine's day they had the year before)

6. You don't look good in red anyway

7. You are allergic to chocolate

8. Who the heck is Saint Valentine anyway?
(It's actually a name for Christian martyrs, and though you didn't need to know that - it is kinda ironic ain't it?! )

9. You can have fun now any way you choose: drinks with friends, pass out on couch, pack a month's worth of porno-viewing into one night! road trip to vegas!.

10. So, what are you gonna do?

I'm going to an ALL YOU CAN EAT japanese restaurant with 5 friends :D.. Girls night out (minus the 2 guys).

The funny thing is we didn't plan it purposely on valentine's day, it just happened that way.

Leaving a wine and cheese shindig early to start/finish this agonizing 8 page paper due tom morn. -_-

After seeing that my ex is online and re-confirming what I already know (he is a selfish ------), I temporarily let the feelings of anger and pangs of lonliness come and go, telling myself for the 1000000000th time that I never wanted him in the first place. I never did and I never will.

Every valentines day I perform a 15 minute bellydance for all the couples having dinner together at the restaurant I usually dance at. I get to find a great piece of music, choreograph it, wear my favourite costume, perform, get paid, and have a nice meal afterward. Now that's a great way to spend valentines day (evening) as a single. Lucky me.

Here's the kicker. While studying at the library, I just witnessed 3... I repeat... 3 couples that broke up. I'm telling you...

It's the sad holiday for singles, and the miserable holiday for couples.
