I have CD saved on Real Player and wanted to put it on my MP3 -- the tutorial from

Real Player made it seem like I could select it and drag it to my MP3 folders.. When I

Select it to drag it to the MP3 --it minimizes the MP3 page and won't let me transfer it.

I think my player came with programs but Real Player has taken over the show

... Suggestions --- WINDOZE 2000 --- WMP?

What version of realplayer are you using? If you are using the latest which is 11. Then go to the Burn/transfer tab

If you are using Windows Media player 11. Then use the synic tab.

Realplayer sets itself as the default media player if select that option when you install that program. To change it back to windows media player right click on a music file and then select the option Open with > choose program > and select the program you want to open the music file in and then check the box always used selected program.

People gave up on RealPlayer years ago, it's a piece of crap program full of bugs. What do you mean by "CD saved on Real Player"?

To answer Married Guy -- Using Real Player 10.5 -- Thought that was latest version

I don't believe WMP 11 is compatible with Windoze 2000 -- Could be worng?

I may get rid of real player -- had it years ago -- still a pain

To Need Karma -- Have file saved to my music / my library -- then I did try burn or

Transfer -- selected Removable Disk but I'm stumped... Really wish I could listen to

CD's I've bought without the bulky CD player

There are lots of free CD rippers out there, the key in your case is to find one compatible with Win 2000. You can find some here (a very respected site) The Extended Best-ever Freeware Utilities List

You should be able to take any audio CD and rip it to MP3. The next hurdle you face is having your MP3 device recognized in Win 2000. Maybe the manufacturer has a patch or driver that may help you there. If you plug it in and see the service as a new drive letter then usually you're in business - simply drag the mp3s to the device (you may have to know a speific folder to drop them into depending on the player).

Srry... I totally ignored that fact that your were using windows 2000. Try to upgrade the realplayer and the windows media player. Why are you do you use window 2000? People say that its more stable but it will most software will require win xp or vista

I am on Windoze 2000 because the person who worked on my conpouter put it on there

Think he worked with 2000 in office installs -- I will stop back later and update this post

Do you have I-tunes?
If you do it is much easyer to do!

Real player is to old.
What type of MP player do you have. Do you have an IPOd or something else?
If you have an iPod the cd comes with it and it is much easyer to understand:)

I have Windoze Media Player 9 because -- 10 and 11 not supported for Win 2000

Also the MP3 seems to suggest that it is not compatible with Win 2000

Do not have iTunes or eMusic -- My only hope is XP and WMP 11 -- I have XP

Machine in shop... Grrrrr
