    Visioneer 600dpi Scanner
    I used this scanner when I had windows ME - have now upgraded to XP and it won't work. What should I do?

    Hi,
    What is the model number of the scanner?

    Some Visioneer Scanners will not work with XP, some not with XP SP2.
    Here is a link to Visioneer models:

    Click on your model number at the above site, and there should then be a link for compatibility with XP.
    Also, before you installed XP, running the Compatibility check, from the menu, would have been a good idea. But, anyway, check the link above to see if there are drivers to download for your model for XP.

    When I had this installed with windows xp is used Text Bridge Software (I have the install cd) I installed the scanner using this cd but the scanner "could not be found" Have done this about 10 times - install/uninstall and have also been to the visioneer website but can't seem to find anything there.

    Im not sure but I see a number FU661E - does that help at all? The paperwork that came with it says "Visioneer 600dpi" - nothing else. Sorry

    Their site (https://visupport.visioneer.com/Port...0-223d4053d3c5) shows model numbers as 4 digit numbers.

    The model number should be listed underneath the scanner, and should be something like these model numbers from the site above I gave:
