It would be good to know how old your father was and what style of music it was that he liked. Or, do you think that it would be appropriate for you to pick something out that you might identify with and that you think that he would agree with if he were alive?

When I sang and played for my mother's funeral about ten years ago, I chose pieces that I knew she would like, but weren't necessarily the kind that she would always sing to me as I was growing up. I knew that she liked to have things that were "in style" for the current time, rather than something that might be outdated.

I'm sorry for your loss and sorry you will not have the opportunity to dance with your father on the day of your wedding. I do hope however, if what they say is true that they always look after us, I can imagine he will be looking down and smiling at how beautiful his little girl looks.
