I live in the state of Wisconsin and was convicted of a felony 14 years ago. Is it possible for me to be bonded for employment purposes?

Yes, now many factors, what was the crime, and what type of bond, and what type of employment,

For examaple if you were a bank robber and wanted one to work in a bank, OK, maybe a little hard to get.

But the issue with bonds are not always can you get it, but what is the cost, and are you willing to pay that cost. You can check with various companies that write bonds , think of it like insurance ( I know its not) but the higher the risk factors, the higher the policy.

Give us some more info, there are too many reasons you or your employer might have to or want you to be bonded for or why you want to or have to be bonded. For example, selling mobile homes in SC? - might not be able to furnish the state required mobile home saleman's bond. Working in a bank as a employee - I know of no individual bond you would have to furnish but if you are an employee, the bank must buy a "bankers blanket bond" and that covers all employees - you have to get past their employee screening process whatever that is. Need a notary bond for a particular state? - if so, some states require you to be a registered voter and some states take away your right to vote if you are a convicted felon, so if that's the case, you cannot be bonded as a notary public. Just give us some specific info but please don't mention specific names, companies.
