    Shower in Basement -drain
I am replacing a shower enclosure that was taken out of my basement years ago. The problem is that there is no shower drain in the cement floor. The previus shower was drained to a flexible rubber tube that flowed under the shower to the floor drain in the laundry room. I purchased some rubber reducers, but that would not work because it caused me to raise the floor too many inches up. (Not enough ceiling clearance) (I can not remember how that was hooked to the drain under the enclosure's floor before) It did work well without any leaks, but I haven't been able to find something that would cover the drain and be thin enough to run under the enclosure floor.
    Please help anyone can.

    Hey Eddie,

You realize the correct way to go about this would be to take up the floor and run drainage over from the shower and tie into the floor drain drain line don't you?
If you wish to keep the same drainage set up figure on losing a few inches when you connect the shower pan drain to a 1 1/2" or 2" street ell. You may then couple the male end of the street ell to the flexible tube going to the floor drain using a Fernco Neoprene Coupling. Hope this helps aqnd thank you for rating my reply. Tom

I bought a one-piece Lasco shower enclosure as part of finishing the basement bathroom. The PVC drain is plumbed in and sticks up about 6" out of the floor.
